Location: Cardiff The practical elements in this course will provide the learner with the relevant experience in hairdressing. The course is split into theoretical and practical sessions, where the learner will cover tools, maintenance, health and safety, colour, hair cutting, treatments and design.
Course details Week 1 - Introduction on how to prepare clients for salon services.
- How to maintain tools and equipment
- How to maintain and organise work areas
- Health & Safety routines at work
Week 2 - Colour and lighter hair
- Perform colour correction
- Lecture on recommended hair products
Week 3 - Perform rolling and perm rolling
- Design one length or solid hair cut structures
Week 4-6 - Apply layered haircut structures
- Apply over comb techniques
- Design and apply short to medium, length hair design finishes
